There are many fruit bearing trees and shrubs planted on the many levels at Raspberry Hill. In the beginning, of course, raspberries, then strawberries, along came a couple of apple trees..(over the course of time, apple lane was created with a selection of apple species) plum shrubs, nanking cherry shrubs.
A blue berry shrub joined in 2010.  Red Current shrubs/ Black Current shrubs...all producing tart and delicious fruit...great for jellies.
2007-8 over 100 Highbush cranberries were placed throughout the garden areas.  These are beautiful shrubs that can grow to be a tree of 10 ft. if left unchecked.  The flavor from these berries makes for an excellant jelly or blended with other berries, always turns into a delightfully new flavor!
Of the wild berries already deeply rooted on the hillside are, chokecherries, saskatoons, and my favorite.. THE pincherry!
.....and not to forget the Valiant Grape, so hardy to the hot dry prairies.........
