The Big Spring Cleanup...continues!

Nothing got without pains but an ill name and long nails. ~Scottish Proverb

Well you can be assured I do not have 'long nails' in fact...there is alot of dirt under them, and they have become very short!

The toil continues, this time of the year is exciting as we watch what peeks through the earth and continues to live on.  Momentum seems to build all through 'our' Canadian summers and then we reach the high of the all encompassed beauty of bloom some time in July or August...when at that time the cycle moves onto the closing down and the restful time of the winter.

But enough of the winter, we just come out of.......the June rains of the past couple of days have greened everything up.  The birds are singing and flitting from feeder to feeder....so enjoying the sunshine filled days....as I am.

 Potting of colour's begins here

Well I have lots of them!  Being a country garden weeds are in abundance.  Unlike a nicely tailored city garden that is perfectly structured and carefully natured my garden is very countrified!...But as we get section by section cleaned of the most irritating weeds, the structure begins to flow through.
