Ever Wonder??

........ever wonder how weather, gardening and life in general actually liken to  each other...well here are some thoughts for you to ponder........

This July of 2012 has seen some fast and furious changes..within almost a blink of an eye.....warm and sunny, bright and cheery beginnings and then whoosh......fast and furious..dark cloudy and scary sky's......right now as I look out the south window, I see blue and a orange-red cloud moving across my view.....
....and then the bright beauty of the day shines again.......
Aren't our daily lives much like that......?

And now it is August of this garden year.

.....The first week of August hangs at the very top of summer, the top of the live-long year, like the highest seat of a Ferris wheel when it pauses in its turning. The weeks that come before are only a climb from balmy spring, and those that follow a drop to the chill of autumn, but the first week of August is motionless, and hot. It is curiously silent, too, with blank white dawns and glaring noons, and sunsets smeared with too much colour. Often at night there is lightning, but it quivers all alone. ~Natalie Babbitt, Tuck Everlasting

Will the storms of July be forever gone from this garden season......
thoughts turn to preparations....restorations....and much expectations of what the rest of the 'summer of 2012'  will bring forward......

As you view, there is more sunshine in our daily lives, than stormy clouds and damaging winds....Enjoy the Sunshine in your days........

Are our daily lives very much like this.........?   I say..........

Thank God every morning when you get up, that you have something to do that day which must be done, whether you like it or not. Being forced to work and forced to do your best will breed in you temperance and self-control, diligence and strength of will, cheerfulness and content, and a hundred virtues which the idle never know. ~Charles Kingsley

  1. thoughtful words definately to ponder over. Yes Sunshine is our strength in our day to day lives of hustle bustle and busy-ness.

  2. Just popping over to check out your blog again. Yes August is here, I'm hoping it can't be any drier than July as so many plants have bloomed and finished with the heat. Have a good day.
