June 2012 ending....

What is one to say about June, the time of perfect young summer, the fulfillment of the promise of the earlier months, and with as yet no sign to remind one that its fresh young beauty will ever fade. ~Gertrude Jekyll

Where did June go?   It is hard to believe we will be exiting June 2012 forever!

Looking forward to spending some one on one time with my daughter from Calgary.  We talk alot on the e-mail or telephone, but only get to see each other about once a year, twice if we're lucky!  We will be having a ceremony of 'cremation' for her baby basket.......it will be 50 years old and there isn't much left of it.......so.......a true testimonal of time moving on...

What a gift.  To be able to enjoy and appreciate all one is able to accomplish!  To enjoy the beauty as it is bestowed upon us at any given time throughout our days here on earth.

July 1st 2012  known and celebrated as 'Canada Day' Our National colors...red and white.....

peony season...

Began the new 'garden & nature site, July 11, 2011 and here it is July 1, 2012.....Almost There...
The idea is beginning to take shape and it is so much fun actually putting the ideas into realizism.

My friends and family have been bombarded with my project and my 'little park' for so long now I am sure they are tired of looking at trees, flowers, and 'the park'..........

 'Almost There'

The interior venue will seat 20 people
There are four picnic tables on the patio
available bar-b-que and lots of seating on the two decks facing east and west

Very Simple & rustic......The goal is for those renting the venue to experience the natural surroundings and not a 'fancy' dressed up' venue.......

Let Nature be your guide............

Beauty evolves from Labour

Busy, Busy Week at the Nature Site!

Between the high winds and downpours of rain it has been a very busy couple weeks trying to get as much done and as much cleaned up as possible.  Would like to say we will be ready for company come July 1, 2012!  To say ready for company, well not quite, but would like to see everything in it's place, so as to evaluate where the next focus of attention is needed.

Still have to get the electrical done, the screen doors installed (Dana's been coming to do the job, for the past month!) window's cleaned and the last of the big trees planted. The interior still needs minor attention.  The roads needs the ruts scraped ~ and gravel needs to go down to help lessen the mud that travels everywhere!

In Life, all that we do is a journey and this is no exception.  Even tho I love to create 'spaces' to be enjoyed it can be frustrating at times.  This brings to the forefront....that patience is called upon many times over~ and things do not always turn out as you envision them to be.......but......journey on......

the dead and fallen trees were in abundance

Many helping hands makes a lighter load for everyone

Thank God for friends! of all ages!

Nature Abounds

One of my biggest enjoyments on the garden, is watching the buzzing of birds and the bees!  Many people including some of my family are afraid of the activity swirling around them.  Actually, the saying is 'don't bother them, and they won't bother you' proves true in most cases.  They are so busy collecting their sweetness that your oblivious to them.
